The Atlanta Hawks have recalled rookie Dennis Schröder from the NBA D-League and have reassigned guard Jared Cunningham to Bakersfield.

The Atlanta Hawks have recalled Dennis Schröder from the NBA D-League and have reassigned guard Jared Cunningham to the Bakersfield Jam. The Hawks continue to rotate their young players through the D-League and the gap in Bakersfield schedule gave them a good time for the change.

Schröder appeared in six games with the Jam and averaged 17 points and 6.7 assists while making 48 percent of his field goal attempts. Schröder will be available for Monday's game against the Lakers.

Cunningham is headed to Bakersfield for the second time this season. He appeared in five games with the Jam and averaged 15 points and 4.6 assists while seeing quite a bit of time at point guard. He struggled with his shooting during his first run in the D-League and that is an area that he needs to improve on this time around.

The Atlanta Hawks have recalled shooting guard John Jenkins after a four-game stint with the Bakersfield Jam.

The Atlanta Hawks have recalled shooting guard John Jenkins from the Bakersfield Jam after a four-game stint in the D-League per a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jenkins appeared in four games with the Jam 21.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He shot 42 percent from the field but just 22 percent from three-point range. Jenkins was able to get a decent amount of run in averaging over 36 minutes per contest.

Last night for the Jam Jenkins finished with a team-high 18 points on 6-18 shooting in a loss against the Santa Cruz Warriors. He returns to Atlanta and should be in uniform tonight due to the injury to center Gustavo Ayon.

John Jenkins and Dennis Schröder had up and down games as Bakersfield Jam dropped their second straight to Santa Cruz.

John Jenkins and Dennis Schröder turned in a lukewarm performance in Bakersfield's 112-106 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors. The Jam were outscored 46-26 in the final quarter as the Warriors hand them their second defeat.

The most concerning part of Jenkins night is his continued transformation from an efficient shooter to a volume scorer. Jenkins finished with a team-high 18 points but was just 6-18 from the field and 2-10 from three-point range. He did escape without a turnover in 38 minutes while finishing with four rebounds and three assists.

No doubt Jenkins is getting featured by the Jam's coaching staff and it is natural for an NBA player to try and do too much but with Jenkins' strength always being his shot his continued shooting struggles are concerning. Jenkins is now shooting 42 percent from the field in four games in the D-League but is at just 22 percent from deep going 6-27.

Dennis Schröder had a similar game in many respects. He finished with 16 points and nine assists but was just 2-8 from the field and committed six turnovers. He did get to the free throw line regularly going 12-15 but neither guy looks like they are getting in much of a groove.

For the Jam, Damion James chipped in 17 off the bench while James Nunnally added 16. Brian Butch logged another double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Seth Curry led the Warriors with 25 points while Kiwi Gardner and William Buford finished with 23 and 20 respectively.

John Jenkins put up a game-high 28 points but the Bakersfield Jam fell Tuesday night to the Santa Cruz Warriors.

John Jenkins and Dennis Schröder turned in solid performances but the Bakersfield Jam fell to the Santa Cruz Warriors 111-103 at home.

Jenkins got a number of opportunities going 10-23 from the field but was 0-5 from three-point range. He was 8-10 from the free throw line and also finished with six rebounds, three assists and four steals. Schröder logged a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists while going 7-12 from the field. Schröder finished with just two turnovers and it is nice to see a big assist game from him.

Bakersfield jumped out to a quick start leading the Warriors 36-25 at the end of one. Santa Cruz then outscored Bakersfield by 21 points over the next two quarters to take control of the game as the Jam's offense sputtered. Schröder and Jenkins both played well down the stretch but it wasn't enough to complete a comeback.

James Nunnally added 24 points for the Jam while Mac Koshwal added 12. Cameron Jones and Seth Curry led the Warriors with 25 points each.
