Trae Young's pitch for the 2024 NBA All-Star game

In his 6th season, Trae Young is quietly reminding basketball fans why he belongs in the NBA all-star conversation.

As the Atlanta Hawks offensive facilitator, he’s recording 27.5 points, 10.9 assists, 1.4 steals, on 36.5 minutes per game. All of which are career highs. There is no shortage of points scored by the Hawks. Young leads the Hawks offense that scores 121.3 points per game and averages a 117.5 offensive rating, both top-ten in the NBA.

Among players in the league, Young ranks among some of the league’s greatest superstars. He ranks second in assists, sixth in points, seventh in minutes and ninth in steals per game. There are very few who have routine electric performance like he does.

Notably, Young had one of the greatest achievements in NBA this season by recording 30+ points with 10+ assists in seven consecutive games. He surpassed Tiny Archibald, Michael Jordan, Russell Westbrook and tied Oscar Robertson doing so.

Young’s ascendance this season earned him the second-place nod among eastern conference guards in the NBA’s latest fan voting returns, only behind Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

In a career-best season, Young is undoubtedly an All-Star frontrunner as he displays his epic talents on a nightly basis.

2024 NBA All-star voting will end on January 20th, 2024.
