It is officially NBA 2K ratings season, and naturally, some players around the league are not thrilled with their freshly updated rating. Add Atlanta Hawks star point guard to that list. He took to social media to voice his thoughts Wednesday afternoon:
feel like we do this every year… y’all ever gonna get it right?! #CantPlayItYet https://t.co/kXbQZ4V8dq

Young ended his tweet with the hashtag “#CantPlayItYet”, hinting that he will not be playing the game until he receives a better rating. Young was rated at an 87 on NBA 2K21, which obviously came out before he and the Hawks’ run to the Eastern Conference Finals, so it’s fair to say he may have deserved more than the modest two-point boost up to an 89 overall. Among other players in this range, Zion Williamson also received a rating of 89, while Jayson Tatum is rated as a 90 overall.
LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Steph Curry all lead the way with a rating of 96 overall. Here’s a look at the top-10 players on this year’s installment of the popular video game franchise:

Young apparently still has more to prove to the ratings folks at 2K, maybe he can earn a bump up into the 90s with a strong start to this upcoming season. NBA 2K22 is set to release Sept. 10.
