The Atlanta Hawks are now 1-1 in Summer League play after a buzzer-beating, game-winning three-pointer by Sharife Cooper in Tuesday’s win over the Indiana Pacers. Thursday evening, they will battle the Philadelphia 76ers in their third Summer League contest. These two franchises obviously last met in the second round of the postseason, with Atlanta taking home a Game 7 road victory to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Summer Hawks, lead by assistant coach Matt Hill, are in need of wins this evening and Saturday to give themselves the best chance at bringing home the NBA Summer League Championship. Seeding for the championship game is based off the first four games, and having more than one loss is pretty much guaranteed to take a team out of contention for a spot in the championship game on Aug. 17.
