The NBA Summer League will return to Las Vegas in August after being cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020. Today, the NBA released the schedule, and the Hawks will play as follows in a short turnaround from Thursday’s NBA Draft:

  • Sunday, Aug. 8 vs. Boston Celtics, 4 pm ET, NBA TV
  • Tuesday, Aug. 10 vs. Indiana Pacers, 6 pm ET, NBA TV
  • Thursday, Aug. 12 vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 9 pm ET, ESPN2
  • Saturday, Aug. 14 vs. Miami Heat, 4 pm ET, ESPN2

The Hawks will get a fifth game on Aug. 16 or 17. The two teams with the best two records after four games will play for the championship, with tiebreakers for teams with the same record being head to head then point differential. If the tie is still not broken then, a coin will be flipped.

Cam Reddish, Skylar Mays and Nathan Knight are all slated to appear in Summer League for the Hawks, while Onyeka Okonwgu will now miss the festivities due to his shoulder surgery. Whomever the Hawks select Thursday in the draft, along with potential undrafted free agents will presumably join the roster as well, with the rest of the roster yet to be set.

Stay tuned.
