Thursday evening, word broke from ESPN that Trae Young would not play in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals due to the foot injury he suffered in Game 3 of the series when stepping on the foot of an official.
ESPN Sources with @malika_andrews: Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young (foot) is out for Game 5 vs. Bucks tonight. Young will continue to rehab with hopes of playing in the Eastern Conference Finals Game 6 on Saturday in Atlanta.

Young did some shooting on the court before the game (something he could have done on the practice court before Game 4 in Atlanta), but ultimately will reportedly not suit up Thursday evening for the Hawks. Young has not played since Game 3, when he came back from the locker room for the fourth quarter. The Hawks ultimately lost that game, but rebounded for a big win in Game 4 without him.
Clint Capela is going to play, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (eye) will play tonight in Game 5 of the ECF against the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources tell @YahooSports.

Nate McMillan confirmed the reported statuses of both Young and Capela before the game. Young will be out, and Capela will play.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, who left Game 4 with a hyperextended knee, will not play in Game 5 either. He, along with Young and Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers, making three out of the four teams that made it this far missing their best player in Game 5 of the conference finals.
The war of attrition continues, no less, however, and the Hawks and Bucks will each look to get a leg up on the series tonight.
