Preview: Hawks host Cavaliers in second preseason tilt

The Atlanta Hawks will host the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday evening in what will be their second preseason game. The Hawks lost Monday evening in a matchup with the Miami Heat.

Trae Young leaving the game with a quad injury was the biggest story of the night on Monday, but it seems he may have dodged serious injury as he’s listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s game. While Young will likely not play Wednesday evening, he expressed he was ‘going to be okay’ when speaking with media in postgame on Monday.

The Cavaliers come into Wednesday’s action on the second half of a back-to-back as they lost to the Chicago Bulls by a lopsided score of 131-95 in their preseason opener on Tuesday night.

Injury Reports

De’Andre Hunter (right knee injury management) is probable for the Hawks on Wednesday. Trae Young (right quad contusion) is doubtful.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (rest), Clint Capela (left Achilles injury management) and Onyeka Okongwu (shoulder) are out. Notably, Kevin Huerter is now not listed on the injury report at all and will presumably make his preseason debut at home on Wednesday.
