The Atlanta Hawks will take to the road this week, as Wednesday’s game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans will be the first of a back-to-back. The Hawks will travel to the nation’s capitol after the game for a Thursday night matchup vs. the Washington Wizards.

The Hawks are 2-1 on this young season, picking up their second win Monday night vs. the Detroit Pistons.

New Orleans is 1-3 this season, as they have yet to see Zion Williamson take the floor this season, though they did win Monday night on the road vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Hawks should have the edge Wednesday in New Orleans in what will be a nationally televised game on ESPN, as the hype of a game with Trae Young and Zion Williamson would have been compelling if Williamson were healthy.

Injuries

For the Hawks, De’Andre Hunter (non-COVID illness) is probable, while Danilo Gallinari (left shoulder soreness) and Lou Williams (right ankle soreness) are questionable. Onyeka Okongwu (right shoulder injury recovery) is out.

For the Pelicans, Josh Hart is questionable and Zion Williamson remains out.

The Line

Atlanta sits as an 6-point favorite over the Pelicans as of early Wednesday morning.
