2020 NBA Rising Stars was headlined by the star talent at the top of each roster, including Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the World team and Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, and, of course, the Atlanta Hawks’ sophomore sensation Trae Young on the USA team.
It didn’t take long for Young to get started. RJ Barrett stole one of his passes in the first few possessions, so you already know what Atlanta’s star guard had to do to him:

He followed it up with a 3 from a couple steps behind the three-point line:

As the half came to a close, Doncic set up a long-range bomb and shared a fun moment with Trae:

Trae and his USA teammates were down 10 at the half.
Young came out firing after halftime, with a signature floater along the baseline and a logo three:
The USA team were dominant in the third quarter, beating the World team 44-24 in the 10-minute period, led by Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges off the bench:
Trae played the first part of the fourth quarter, helping his team blow open a massive lead.
The USA team put the final touches on a 151-131 victory. Trae put in the final points of the night for his squad before an unsuccessful dunk contest broke out for the last few possessions.
Young ended up with 18 points and seven assists, both of which paced the starting unit.
He’ll take the floor on Saturday night for the three-point contest and will feature in his first (of many) All-Star games on Sunday.
