UPDATE: LeBron James will play in Sunday’s game, per Frank Vogel.

Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks will be looking for a bounce-back performance on Sunday evening as they host the Los Angeles Lakers. Atlanta’s comeback bid came up short against Indiana on Friday and, after a day off to recover, the Hawks will face a significant challenge against the West-leading Lakers.

Though it should be noted that LeBron James is questionable to play for Los Angeles with elbow soreness, the Lakers are undefeated away from Staples Center this season. With Anthony Davis on board, Los Angeles has the look of a legitimate title contender and, earlier this season, the Lakers toppled the Hawks by a 21-point margin.

All eyes will be on James’ status as tip-off approaches on Sunday evening but, for now, the Hawks are 11.5-point home underdogs, even with a clean injury report for Atlanta. That sets modest expectations for Atlanta but, in the same breath, the uncertainty with James, coupled with other injuries for Los Angeles, could level the playing field to some degree.

Stay tuned throughout the day and be encouraged to utilize the comments below as a “game thread” for the action.
