From season ticket holders to casual observers, NBA fans always seem to look forward to the league’s 82-game schedule release. On Aug. 10, the full slate arrived and the Atlanta Hawks will begin the campaign with a road contest against the New York Knicks on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

From there, Lloyd Pierce and company will open a newly renovated Philips Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 24 against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks and the regular season schedule will be completed against the Indiana Pacers on Apr. 10. Because of the renovation process, it certainly does not come as a surprise that the Hawks are opening with three road games (including an opener at Madison Square Garden) but the home opener should be quite intriguing on a number of levels, from the sparkling concourse to the action on the floor itself.

National television audiences won’t be able to see the Hawks very often, as the team was granted only one appearance outside of its regional footprint (and the wonderful world of NBA League Pass). Atlanta will appear on NBA TV on at least one occasion, with the MLK Day game against Orlando taking place on that network and more potential dates to follow.

There will be plenty of time for full dissection but, for now, here is the full schedule for the 2018-19 campaign.
