Update: John Collins will rest on Thursday evening, though he will still travel to Las Vegas.
Before the Atlanta Hawks shift their sights to the city of Las Vegas, the team is in action one more time in Salt Lake City on Thursday evening. The first two games of the journey arrived to mixed reviews but, after a day off, it will be interesting to see how Trae Young and company respond in this spot.
There is no word at this point as to whether the Hawks will rest and/or shut down any players, leaving us to assume that the full complement will be available for Lloyd Pierce and his coaching staff. In this match-up, the Utah Jazz are the opponent and, even without a lottery pick, there are a few players (including Grayson Allen and Tony Bradley) to keep an eye on here.
Obviously, more attention will be paid to Atlanta’s roster, however, and that means Young, Tyler Dorsey, John Collins (if/when he plays), Antonius Cleveland, Jaylen Morris, Jaylen Adams, Omari Spellman and many more. The big-picture stage will be larger in the desert but there is plenty to glean from what transpires in Utah and, frankly, it would be encouraging to see improvement from basically anyone on the roster aside from Collins.
Stay tuned throughout the day for all the latest and here is how you can follow the action, while also keeping in mind that the comments below serve as the “game thread” and cordial behavior is encouraged.
