The Atlanta Hawks have been welcoming potential first round talents to the Emory Sports Medicine Complex for a few weeks but things are reportedly beginning to heat up when it comes to the No. 3 overall selection. On Tuesday morning, word broke that Oklahoma guard will be visiting Atlanta as one of only four scheduled visits and, later in the day, Michael Cunningham of the AJC reported that he will soon be joined by Texas big man Mo Bamba, Michigan State big man Jaren Jackson Jr., Duke big man Marvin Bagley III and Duke guard Grayson Allen.
Mohamed Bamba tentatively scheduled to work out for Hawks June 14. Also expected to work out for ATL next week: Grayson Allen, Trae Young, Jaren Jackson, Marvin Bagley.

It comes as no surprise that the Hawks would want to take a closer look at Bamba, Bagley III and Jackson Jr., as the trio represents a significant portion of the logical group Atlanta would be evaluating for the No. 3 pick. When combining those talented big men with Young, the Hawks will have plenty to examine in the near future and, of course, Luka Doncic (still playing in Europe and, thus, seemingly unavailable for workouts) would be firmly in the mix if he remains on the board when June 21 arrives.
As for Allen, he would not be a factor at No. 3 and would likely be seen as a reach at No. 19 overall. Still, he is one of the more “famous” players in the class and has talent to the point that it would be reasonable to examine him as a potential fit at No. 30 or No. 34 overall.
Stay tuned as the NBA Draft nears.
