In the midst of the team’s 2017-2018 season finale, Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk joined Fox Sports Southeast’s broadcast and announced that, in addition to another appearance in the Las Vegas Summer League, the Hawks would be participating in the 2018 Utah Summer League. Beyond that, new head coach Lloyd Pierce indicated that he plans to lead the squad in its maiden Summer League voyage and now we officially know when the Hawks will be taking the floor in Utah.
The Hawks will begin their Summer League journey a few days earlier than in previous years, opening on July 2 and playing three games in Salt Lake City.
