The Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers have seen a lot of each other recently, with two games (on Feb. 23 and Feb. 28) within the past two weeks. However, that won’t stop the squads from facing off once again on Friday evening in Indianapolis and this match-up marks the fourth and final one of the season series.
Atlanta picked up an unexpected victory in the last meeting, holding serve at home by a final score of 107-102, and the Pacers took the previous two match-ups. On Friday, the Hawks will face an uphill battle, though, as the team takes a ghastly 5-26 road record into the fray in this spot.
Indiana owns a top-10 offense in the NBA this season and they are capable of doing damage at all levels. Kent Bazemore headlines the crew responsible for defending All-Star guard Victor Oladipo but, in short, that will be a team effort and the frontcourt will also be challenged.
From a Las Vegas perspective, the Pacers are seen as comfortable favorites and that makes sense given that Indiana is 22-12 t home this season. However, the Hawks are certainly capable of providing a competitive atmosphere in this game and Atlanta has displayed encouraging flashes in recent days, including a three-quarter period of solid performance against the Raptors earlier in the week.
Stay tuned throughout the day for all the latest.
