Preview: Hawks conclude homestand with match-up against Phoenix

New, comments

The Suns are in town and this could get weird.

It’s been a busy week for the good folks that work at Philips Arena, as the Atlanta Hawks take the floor for their fourth consecutive home game on Sunday afternoon. After an exciting loss (if there is such a thing) against the Warriors on Friday, the Hawks will welcome the struggling Phoenix Suns for this particular match-up.

The Suns have dropped 11 of 12 games and, at the moment, there is a real argument for Phoenix as the worst team in the league. As a result, the Hawks are actually seen as favorites by the experts in Las Vegas and, in short, this could be a pivotal match-up when it comes to the ping-pong ball race.

Earlier in the season, the Hawks lost a nail-biter (by one point) in Phoenix and that could foreshadow a bit when it comes to this particular battle. Still, a lot has changed, particularly on Atlanta’s side, since then and, if nothing else, there is a good, old-fashioned Sunday afternoon basketball game to monitor.

Stay tuned throughout the day for all the latest.
