Bembry has been dealing with a bevy of injuries this season with the most recent being a groin strain suffered on February 23rd against the Indiana Pacers.
In his second season out of Saint Joseph’s University, Bembry has only seen 21 games of action due to the many injuries that have keep him on the bench. He is averaging five points per game, close to three rebounds and an assist and a half to go along with solid defensive play. The addition of Bembry allows the Hawks to gain another play creator on offense after losing Malcolm Delaney and Dennis Schroder down the stretch of 2018.
Bembry was one of two first-round picks made by the Hawks in 2016 and has struggled to remain healthy for most of his time with the club. Stay tuned for more updates on the Hawks laundry list of injured players.
