After a late night in Sacramento, the Atlanta Hawks hopped on buses and headed for Oakland. That bit of cross-town travel came as a result of a Friday night match-up with the Golden State Warriors and, while that is always a challenge for any NBA team, this particular visit may not be quite as difficult as some in the past.
Injury report for tomorrow's game vs. Atlanta: Stephen Curry (tweaked right ankle) is probable; Omri Casspi (sprained right ankle) is questionable; Kevin Durant (right rib soreness), Draymond Green (pelvic contusion) & Klay Thompson (fractured right thumb) are out.

As noted above, the Warriors are (very) short-handed at the moment and the team has dropped four of six games as a result. However, the first name on Golden State’s injury report is quite important and, after missing six games with an ankle issue, Stephen Curry is likely to play in this spot.
Curry’s return, coupled with home-court advantage, helps to make Golden State a 9.5-point favorite (at least early in the day) in Las Vegas and that illustrates expectations for the contest. Of course, the Hawks are battling their own injury issues and, as of Friday afternoon, the team issued an update with regard to John Collins, who has been upgraded to questionable. Dennis Schroder, who missed Thursday’s game with rest, is expected to return against the Warriors but the Hawks still have a full injury report to contend with against the reigning champs.
By nature of the 10:30 pm ET tip-off time on a Friday and Golden State’s injury situation, this game doesn’t carry the same buzz that a normal match-up with the league’s best team would bring. Still, fun should be had by all and you can stay tuned for all the latest throughout the day and night.
