The Atlanta Hawks ended the home portion of the “first half” of the NBA season on a high note, picking up an impressive win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Now, though, the team must close the period before the All-Star break with two road contests and the first one presents a challenge in the form of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The multi-talented forward is a walking match-up advantage for Milwaukee and, in recent days, the Bucks are playing impressive basketball. Even with a new head coach in place since the last time the Hawks faced off with Milwaukee, the Bucks have won four of five and eight of ten, leaving the team in strong playoff position.
On Tuesday, the Hawks enter as approximately eight-point underdogs, leaving some expectation of where Las Vegas sees the gap between the two teams. Still, the Hawks have actually outscored opponents without Marco Belinelli on the floor for the full season and Atlanta simply might be a different team after the deadline and rotation changes.
