Four NBA-related things to be thankful for in 2018

Everyone can be thankful for these.

Happy Thanksgiving! This time of year can be pretty frustrating, as people force you to tell them what you’re thankful for. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of things you can be thankful for in 2018, so you don’t look like a fool at your holiday meal.

Warriors losing streak and the drama that comes with it

This interview from Klay was done a week ago, after the fight broke out between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green. Since then, the Warriors are on a four-game losing streak.

So, what does this mean? A list of things are about to commence that you can be most definitely be thankful for.

Because now (in full sarcasm font), we can most likely predict that the Warriors probably won’t make it to the playoffs, their dynasty will fall apart, Kevin Durant will force a trade to the Lakers halfway through the season, and Steph Curry will somehow miss the entire season.

LeBron fans & Laker fan becoming one together

Disclaimer, the jersey below is not a black Friday deal.

If you didn’t know, LeBron James joined the Lakers this year - and if you didn’t know that you really need to catch up on your NBA knowledge. So, why are we thankful for this?

Everyone is happy (except the Warriors). Kobe fans can now join LeBron’s bandwagon. LeBron fans can now wear purple and gold. Cleveland fans got their ring and can now prepare for their lottery pick. And we’re all probably going to get some good movies (ahem ahem Space Jam 2) with LeBron starring in them.

Nike and new uniforms

NBA: Denver Nuggets at Milwaukee Bucks Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

This is the second season Nike has been in charge of the NBA’s uniforms and they’re beautiful. So if you’re not already a Nike fan; just kidding, everyone should be a Nike fan after the Kaepernick ad. So yeah, go buy one of Nike’s NBA jerseys as a holiday gift for someone - be the person someone else is thankful for next year.

The WNBA and women’s basketball

If you’re not thankful for women’s basketball, you should reconsider. Always be thankful for women’s basketball, because basketball is basketball, and it’s great basketball.

Hopefully, this list gave you a few more things to be thankful for this year. Wishing you happy holidays from all us at Peachtree Hoops.
