Not Your Average Review: Curry 3 Avocado

A closer look at some of Yujia Hu’s NBA kicks.

The Curry 3 ‘Avocado’, pictured above, was created by Yujia Hu, a chef/artist who is based in Milan, Italy. He makes sushi that is inspired by pop and sneaker culture. Below is a review of some of my favorite kicks from his Instagram.

Kyrie 2 ‘Wasabi’

While this version of Kyrie 2 doesn’t rank high in performance, it is very popular among people who have good taste. The strip of Wasabi really gives the shoe some extra kick, which allows players to instantly jump higher.

LeBron 14 ‘Salmon’

This shoe is probably the sleekest shoe I’ve seen from Yujia Hu. However, I did hear from an anonymous source that this shoe did have a distinct fishy smell. Either way, this extremely rare version of the LeBron 14 is gone forever, as seen in the video below.

Jeremy Lin’s First Signature Sneaker

The wearable version of Lin’s sneaker hasn’t been released to the public yet. However, it looks like Adidas plans use their Boost technology as part of the upper for this shoe. While the Lin Logo is still being fine-tuned, Adidas may want to go back to the drawing board all together. The current logo may be to close to Rob Gronkowski’s new logo.
