2017 NBA Summer League Game 5: Hawks vs. Rockets game thread

The finale is here.

NBA: Summer League-New Orleans Pelicans vs Los Angeles Lakers Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Update: The Hawks will be without Taurean Prince (rest), DeAndre’ Bembry (rest) and Tyler Dorsey (ankle) for the Summer League finale.

The Atlanta Hawks will wrap up Las Vegas Summer League action on Friday afternoon, as the team takes on the Houston Rockets in the consolation bracket. Regardless of result, the Hawks will complete their five-game schedule in this spot and, while the team result did not end in a massive success, the individual performances were quite encouraging.

Rookie John Collins has excelled, while sophomore DeAndre’ Bembry has taken another step forward. If nothing else, Friday’s game will be another opportunity to see the young pieces (hello, Taurean Prince) before the dead period begins until the end of September.

Stay tuned throughout the afternoon/evening and join us in discussing the action while savoring the feeling of basketball.

Game Date/Time: Friday, July 14th, 4:00 pm ET

Location: Cox Pavilion, Las Vegas, Nevada

TV: ESPNU (Online)
