The Atlanta Hawks really enjoyed themselves during the first half of the team’s Summer League game against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Unfortunately, the on-court success was marred by an injury to 2017 second-round pick Tyler Dorsey in the second quarter.
Dorsey suffered a right ankle sprain and was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the contest, according to the Hawks. The injury happened when Dorsey was driving to the rim and he was fouled, causing an awkward landing on his right leg. From there, it took the assistance of Atlanta’s training staff for the former Oregon guard to leave the floor.
From here, it will be interesting to see the severity of the injury as it pertains to the rest of the week. Before exiting, Dorsey scored two points and grabbed two rebounds in six minutes of court action.
