Free agent big man Mike Muscala will have suitors around the league, per a report from Darren Wolfson of KSTP in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks are reportedly involved in the Muscala chase, but there are plenty more where that came from.

The Atlanta Hawks, whether Paul Millsap re-signs or not, will be in the hunt for Muscala’s services. However, they’ll face stiff competition from several teams around the league as big men who can shoot and protect the rim with some modicum of success are as in demand as they’ve ever been around the league.
Muscala had a career year for the Hawks last year, shooting 42 percent from beyond the three-point line and averaging 6.2 points and 17.1 minutes per game. He projects to continue to be a very solid backup center for any team who needs some floor spacing and passing from that position.
Whether he’s back with the Hawks, he signs with his hometown Timberwolves, or he goes elsewhere, Muscala stands to make more money next year than in his entire career so far in Atlanta.
