It appears that the Las Vegas Summer League roster for the Atlanta Hawks is taking shape in a big way.
Chris Vivlamore of the AJC reports that the Hawks now have a total of 13 players set to head to the desert in July. Names like Taurean Prince, DeAndre Bembry, John Collins and Tyler Dorsey were publicly available at this point but, beyond that, there are many interesting additions.
Alpha Kaba, Atlanta’s pick at No. 60 overall, will reportedly be joining the Hawks in Las Vegas and that is an encouraging development after Travis Schlenk announced on Thursday evening that 2016 second round selection Isaia Cordiner would be making the trip.
The AJC report also indicates that North Carolina guard Nate Britt, former Marquette guard Trent Lockett, former Wisconsin forward Duje Dukan and former Cal power forward Richard Solomon (who played for the Hawks in 2016) will be joining the duo of second round picks. Beyond that, Josh Magette and Bryce Cotton appear on the list, along with Salt Lake City stars forward Quincy Ford.
The Hawks could add more names to the fold before play begins on July 7 but, even if they do not, Atlanta can trot out a full roster based on the reported names. Plenty more to come. Stay tuned.
