The Atlanta Hawks are in Philadelphia on Wednesday evening to take on the 76ers and, after a much needed victory on Tuesday, the team is in search of back-to-back wins. In advance of tip-off, the Hawks released an official injury report and, while one tidbit is on the positive end, there is another that leaves Atlanta shorthanded once again in this game.
Paul Millsap and Thabo Sefolosha remain on the shelf to the surprise of no one, but Kent Bazemore has been upgraded to probable as he recovers from a right knee bone bruise. However, Mike Dunleavy Jr. was announced as “out” on Wednesday evening with right ankle soreness.
While it is certainly an upgrade to move from Dunleavy to Bazemore, this still leaves Atlanta’s bench without its full capacity. On Tuesday, Mike Budenholzer turned to DeAndre Bembry for a brief stint and that could be in the cards once again, especially with extra caution likely placed on Bazemore in his return.
The rotation will be interesting given the back-to-back status of this game but, in short, the Hawks need another victory on Wednesday. Stay tuned.
