Suns vs. Hawks preview: Can Atlanta right the ship against Phoenix?

Tuesday evening brings another opportunity for the Hawks to stop the bleeding.

The Atlanta Hawks are hemorrhaging at the moment and Tuesday evening provides an opportunity to right the ship. Paul Millsap, Kent Bazemore and Thabo Sefolosha are, once again, out of commission for the home team but optimism arrives in the form of a (very) beatable Phoenix Suns team.

It would be fair to point out that this same Hawks group lost a 15-point decision at home to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday afternoon. In the same breath, the current collection for the Nets is probably better than the available talent for the Suns without Eric Bledsoe and Tyson Chandler, leading Las Vegas to install the Hawks as 8-point favorites in this spot.

With three starters out of the lineup, we will likely see another start for Tim Hardaway Jr., Ersan Ilyasova and Taurean Prince. In short, that trio has not been the issue in recent days, though, and the rest of the bench will need to step up, in conjunction with the likes of Dennis Schröder and Dwight Howard to get a victory.

Overwhelming positivity is out the window at the moment but the Atlanta Hawks are still in solid position to make the playoffs if the team can simply pick up some wins down the stretch. The next opportunity arrives on Tuesday and we will be here throughout the evening for updates from Philips Arena.
