The Atanta Hawks will be shorthanded again on Sunday. Both forward Paul Millsap and guard Kent Bazemore have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against Brooklyn Nets according to Atlanta’s updated injury report.
Millsap will miss his fifth straight game with tightness in his left knee. Millsap was a late scratch in last Saturday’s loss to Portland. He was initially ruled out for the first two-games of Atlanta’s three-game road trip. He didn’t travel to Milwaukee and Mike Budenholzer indicated that he still wasn’t in the condition where he could play and contribute.
Atlanta fell to 0-7 on the season without Millsap in the lineup with a 100-97 loss to the Bucks on Friday.
Bazemore suffered a bone bruise in his right knee during the final moments of last Saturday’s loss to the Trail Blazers. He was ruled out initially for 7-10 days and will be reevaluated at some point in the near future.
Atlanta hosts the Nets on Sunday and the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
