The 66th NBA All Star Game is this Sunday. Last week, we took a look at the 2017 All Star Uniforms and needless to say, were not very impressed. This week we’re taking a look at this year’s Under Armour, Adidas, and Nike’s All Star Sneakers.
UNDER ARMOUR

Under Armour is only putting out one shoe for All Star Weekend and it is the Curry 3. This new colorway on the Curry 3 gives the shoe a sleek and sophisticated feel. Although it does look very professional, I’m not sure why UA chose bronze as its accent color. Bronze generally means 3rd place and with UA only putting out 1 shoe, that’s a 3 and a 1; the Warriors blew a 3 -1 lead. #SorryNotSorry
ADIDAS

Adidas is releasing multiple sneakers for the All Star Weekend. Shoes in this collection are accented with purple and orange, making it one of the worst collections in the history of sneakers. Purple and orange are normally associated with Halloween and sweaty, greedy children. Purple and orange generally are not associated with the world’s best basketball players. But if you really love Halloween by all means treat yourself.
NIKE

For the first time in a long time, Nike will not be releasing special shoes for All Star Weekend. Nike athletes instead will wear Nike’s 2017 Black History Month collection. This year’s Nike BHM collection is monochrome with gold accents. Proceeds from the collection will provide financial support for Nike’s Ever Higher Fund.
While Nike hasn’t given a reason why they won’t be coming out with All Star kicks, they have put out this Equality. advertisement. I’ll let you guys read between the lines on this one.
