Game Thread: Atlanta Hawks vs. Dallas Mavericks

The Atlanta Hawks take the floor in Dallas on Wednesday evening and the contest doubles as the kick-off to the 2017-2018 regular season. While expectations are not sky-high for this year’s Hawks team, it is always fun to begin a new campaign and optimism will take over until proven otherwise.

While the Hawks probably are not “favored” to win on the road against a competent Mavs team (and Vegas agrees), this is certainly a spot in which Atlanta could enjoy success. That, if nothing else, is intriguing.
