The Atlanta Hawks officially exercised the third-year team options for DeAndre’ Bembry and Taurean Prince.
UPDATE: We have exercised contract options on DeAndre' Bembry and Taurean Prince.#TrueToAtlanta

The move comes on the back of the Hawks making a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers that was made official earlier this morning.
Prince was the 12th overall pick by the Utah Jazz in 2016, and was traded to the Hawks last summer. He’s been picked by ESPN to have a breakout year this season, coming off the back of a quietly good rookie year. Prince was a key player for the Hawks in the playoffs last year, starting each of their six games.
Bembry was the Hawks first-round draft pick in 2016. He had a fantastic 2017 Summer League and will likely get increased playing time this season as the Hawks work on rebuilding the core of the team through younger players.
Rookie scale team options have to be picked up by October 31 for the 2018-19 season, so while the Hawks are a little early for that deadline, both of these moves are absolute no-brainers.
