The last two weeks have been a strange ride for the Atlanta Hawks who have gone from sellers to apparently being all in once again on this season. The team reportedly pulled All-Star forward Paul Millsap off the trade market on Monday and apparently have gone a step further.
Millsap told ESPN.com’s Ohm Youngmisuk on Tuesday that the team has informed him that he won’t be traded before the end of the season.
"(Now) I can get on with just playing ... (instead of waking) up in the morning, look at the media and see what is going on," said Millsap. "I don't have to focus on any of that. I can focus on basketball, where I will be at for the rest of this year and try to win games for this team."
"Now everybody can stop talking about it," Millsap said after the Hawks' shootaround in Basketball City before playing the Nets. "I can stop thinking about it and just focus on basketball."
The move leaves a lot of unanswered questions but this much is clear. The Hawks are all in on this season.
