The Atlanta Hawks announced on Tuesday that they will open training camp on September 27 at the University of Georgia’s basketball training facility. Camp will be held until the 29th and it will be the fourth consecutive season that the team has opened camp in Athens.
The team will hold media day festivities on Monday, September 26. Hawks Head coach and President of Basketball Operations Mike Budenholzer will speak with the media at 11 a.m. with player availability to follow. Peachtree Hoops will be on the scene to cover the event live.
The Hawks made a number of changes this offseason and come to camp with a new center in Dwight Howard and a new starting point guard in Dennis Schröder. Atlanta is hoping that those changes can help get them to a new level for the 2016-17 season.
