The Atlanta Hawks wrapped up training camp in Athens on Thursday but were without point guard Dennis Schröder who was held out due to a sore ankle. The team will monitor Schröder over the next few days.

No report as to whether Schröder is dealing with general soreness or if he tweaked the ankle in one of the workouts. There is no ideal time for ankle injuries but now is as good as ever with it being the opening days of camp. The Hawks will play it safe with Schröder who is slated to begin the year as the team’s starting point guard.
Atlanta held their final practice at the University of Georgia this morning and will shift back to Philips Arena on Friday. The team held a pair of practices on Tuesday and Wednesday at UGA’s Coliseum Training Facility. This is the third straight season that the Hawks have opened camp at Georgia.
