The Atlanta Dream look to get back on track Sunday when they return home to face the Connecticut Sun. The Dream returned from the Olympic break on Friday with a 90-82 loss to the Chicago Sky. Atlanta enters Sunday at 13-13 and with a half game lead over the Indiana Fever for fourth place in the WNBA Standings.
The Dream jumped out to a lead in the third quarter but watched it slip away after a 15-0 run by the Sky. Chicago turned 12 Atlanta turnovers into 23 points and also beat the Dream up on the glass to the tune of 27 second-chance points. Atlanta will need to shore up both areas if they want to get back into the win column on Sunday.
Connecticut’s 9-16 overall record may not impress but they have been turning eyes of late in the WNBA. The Sun returned from the Olympic break on Friday with a win over Minnesota. Connecticut has won three straight dating back to before the break and six of their last 10 games.
