The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly continuing to explore options with their current roster. Atlanta made a big splash on Day 1 of the free agent period by agreeing to deals with Dwight Howard and Kent Bazemore. Now they are searching for options for rounding out their roster.
The biggest question still facing Atlanta is the status of free agent Al Horford who they have not yet ruled out bringing back. Hoopscritic.com’s Brian Geltzeiler reports that the Hawks are exploring sign and trade options for Horford and trades for Paul Millsap.

The Hawks would only need to move Millsap in the event that they need to clear space to retain Horford.
To clarify, per league sources, Millsap would only be dealt if the Hawks were to re-sign Horford...

While it is possible the Hawks could look to shed salary elsewhere, it is doubtful that there would be enough room in the frontcourt for all of Howard, Horford and Millsap. The Hawks have already hitched their wagon to Howard and now it appears to be a matter of choosing between Horford and Millsap.
