The Atlanta Hawks will be "playing for their tournament lives" on Thursday afternoon, when the team faces off against the Washington Wizards in the Round of 16. Atlanta strung together an impressive performance in a blowout win over the Sacramento Kings to advance to this point, and the Hawks will have a familiar opponent in this upcoming contest.
Washington and Atlanta faced off just a few days ago, with the Hawks claiming an eight-point victory. However, the Wizards are the higher seeded team in this instance, and the team from DC actually got a "bye" to this round by nature of earning the number seven seed. In short, though, the winner remains alive while the loser moves to the consolation bracket.
