Taurean Prince likely to miss next two Summer League games for Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks will likely be without Taurean Prince for the next two LVSL games.

No. 12 overall pick Taurean Prince was notably absent for the Atlanta Hawks in the team's opening victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday, and now, word is spreading that Taylor Jenkins might be without perhaps his most intriguing player for the next two contests.

Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Prince will not play on Sunday against the Wizards, and he indicates that it is "likely" that the former Baylor star will also miss Monday's contest against the Nets. The reason for Prince's absence remains somewhat unclear, but it emerges from some kind of sticking point with the three-team trade involving Jeff Teague and George Hill.

There could be any number of issues holding up the trade and, with that, Prince's availability, including the absence of a physical for either Hill or Teague. Still, it is unfortunate for the Hawks that Prince has been unable to take the floor, whether in practice or in a game situation, for Atlanta to this point and the team is undoubtedly hoping to have him available for the upcoming Las Vegas Summer League tournament beginning on Wednesday.

Stay tuned.
