The list of teams pursuing Atlanta Hawks free agent Kent Bazemore is growing. The Brooklyn Nets are also reportedly working hard to lure Bazemore to Brooklyn according to a report by NBA.com’s David Aldridge.
Nets also working hard on Kent Bazemore—another former Atkinson connection, per source. But Rockets’ presentation late Thursday was strong.

The Nets have ties to Bazemore thanks to new head coach Kenny Atkinson who was formerly an assistant coach with the Hawks and is credited for a lot of Bazemore’s improvement.
Bazemore also previously met with the Houston Rockets and according to Aldridge, the presentation was strong. The Minnesota Timberwolves are another team that are positioning themselves to make a run at Bazemore.

The Hawks reportedly made re-signing Bazemore a priority but with the price tag continuing to rise, it remains to be seen if they will be able to remain in the chase. The Hawks are also still involved in trying to hang onto Al Horford who is also seeing a lot of interest on the open market. Atlanta is fortunate to have Horford’s full bird rights and can exceed the salary cap to re-sign him. The Hawks don’t have full bird rights on Kent Bazemore and will have to use salary cap space to retain him.
