The parade of suitors for Al Horford continues to grow, as the Houston Rockets will reportedly meet with the free agent big men on July 1.

Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops was first to report the meeting, and the Rockets have plenty of space in which to fit Horford under the salary cap. Houston is reportedly ready to part ways with Dwight Howard after the center turned down a player option for 2016-2017, and the Rockets would provide a top-tier star in James Harden to pair with Horford.
The Atlanta Hawks have the most ammunition to offer Horford in the coming days, with the dangling carrot of a fifth year and 7.5% raises that no other team can propose. Still, the Rockets join teams like the Thunder, Warriors, Wizards, Pistons and more in pursuit of Al Horford, and that cannot ease the minds of anyone in Atlanta’s front office at this point in the process.
Stay tuned.
