The Atlanta Hawks will not, in fact, make four selections in the 2016 NBA Draft. Though the team had the opportunity to land another player at number 54 overall, the Hawks instead elected to trade the pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for a financial payment.
The Cavs purchased the #54 pick (Kay Felder) in the draft for 2.4 million. Hefty price so late. Shows you how much teams value these picks.

While this may be unseemly in some ways, the price that Atlanta will receive is (as referenced above) a considerable one. The Hawks likely weighed this option against investing in another "stash" possibility at this point in the draft, and in the end, this was the direction that the front office chose to go in at this time.
With point guards like Gary Payton II and, well, Kay Felder available, this will not be a popular move. Still, the Hawks came away with a nice haul on Thursday evening. Stay tuned.
