With the status of Tim Hardaway Jr. up in the air, the Atlanta Hawks are recalling shooting guard Lamar Patterson from the NBA D-League.

Hardaway suffered what was described as a strained hamstring in Atlanta's season ending loss at Washington. The team didn't practice on Thursday and has yet to give any indication about Hardaway's status for Saturday's Game 1. While Patterson being recalled doesn't mean Hardaway won't play in Game 1, it does provide another wing option in case he is forced to sit.

Patterson was currently on assignment with the Austin Spurs who are currently playing the Los Angeles D-Fenders in the D-League's Western Conference Finals.

Patterson was a surprise addition to the Hawks' rotation to open the season but has saw limited opportunities as the season has gone on. He appeared in 35 games for Atlanta during the regular season averaging 2.4 points and 1.4 rebounds while shooting 35 percent from the field.
