The Atlanta Hawks look to run their winning streak to five straight games on Saturday when they square off against the Houston Rockets. The Hawks have put together one of their best stretches of the season and have climbed all the way back to third in the Eastern Conference standings.
Atlanta knocked off Denver 116-98 on Thursday behind a season-best 21 points from Tim Hardaway Jr who made his first start of the season in place of the banged up Kent Bazemore. Hardaway knocked down 6 of 11 field goal attempts and was 7 of 8 from the free throw line. After being inactive for most of the first half of the season, Hardaway has emerged as a key player off the bench for the Hawks.
Bazemore sat out Thursday's game with a bruised knee but is listed as probable against the Rockets.
It has been a turbulent season for the Houston Rockets who held a team meeting on Thursday before defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-111 Friday night. James Harden poured in 29 points and a career-high 14 assists while Patrick Beverley added 18 points and 10 assists.
Atlanta won the previous meeting between the two teams rebounding from a 19 point deficit to score a 121-115 win. Al Horford finished with 30 points and 14 rebounds against the Rockets and Atlanta will need him to continue to play well. Horford is averaging 15.1 points in March while shooting 56 percent from the field including 44 percent shooting from three-point range.
