Taurean Prince made his D-League debut Friday night in a 111-95 loss by the Long Island Nets to the Delaware 87ers.
Prince finished with 18 points and eight rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench. He went 7 of 14 from the field and was 2 of 5 from the three-point line. Yogi Ferrell led all scorers with 34 points. James Webb III led Delaware with 18 points.
Prince has saw his playing time with the Hawks decrease of late after being a semi-regular part of the rotation early in the season. He has appeared in 20 games and is averaging 3.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10 minutes per game.
The Hawks weren’t clear as to how long Prince’s stay in the D-League would be. Atlanta defeated Detroit on Friday night and host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. Long Island’s next game is an afternoon rematch on Monday against Delaware.
