DeAndre’ Bembry made his D-League debut Thursday night for the Salt Lake City Stars and put up a monster night finishing with 35 points, six rebounds and six assists in 35 minutes of action.

Bembry connected on 16 of 22 field goal attempts and finished the game with just one turnover. The Stars fell to the L.A. D-Fenders by a score of 118-110. Sundiata Gaines and Henry Sims finished with 20 points each for the Stars. Vander Blue led L.A. with 27 points while Ivica Zubac added 22 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hawks assigned Bembry to the D-League on Wednesday via the flexible assignment rule in an effort to get him some consistent playing time. He has appeared in just seven games for Atlanta this season mostly in mop up duty.

Salt Lake City will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Texas to take on the Austin Spurs.
