The Atlanta Hawks are becoming known league-wide for their use of the D-League but, on Saturday, a two-game stint for Mike Scott has come to an end. The team announced, prior to tip-off against the Charlotte Hornets, that the 6-foot-8 forward was recalled from the Long Island Nets.

Scott was sent back to the D-League for a second tour of duty less than a week ago, and the veteran forward performed quite well. In his debut, Scott put up 17 points and six rebounds and, on Friday, he contributed 23 points (on 20 shots) to go along with four rebounds and three assists.

At the time of this post, it is unclear whether Scott will be available for Saturday’s game against Charlotte, but the Hawks will have a near-full complement of frontcourt options again in the near future. Beyond that, Scott presents a unique skill set when it comes to the reserve frontcourt, and his (healthy) presence could be exceedingly useful.

Stay tuned.
