DeAndre Bembry put up another good D-League performance Sunday evening finishing with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Salt Lake City Stars in a 97-88 loss to the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Bembry started and played 35 minutes and finished 8 for 15 from the field. It was a solid follow up to his 35-point D-League debut that occurred earlier this month.

The Hawks assigned Bembry to the D-League in an effort to get him some much needed court time in a competitive situation. He has appeared in just eight games so far this season averaging 5.3 minutes per contest. Atlanta is expected to recall him before Tuesday’s home game against the Orlando Magic.

Despite not having their own D-League affiliate, Atlanta continues to get the most out of the league’s flexible assignment rule. The Hawks have been one of the more active teams in the league at assigning young players over the last several seasons.
