The Atlanta Hawks could be without a key player for tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns. The team updated its injury report Wednesday afternoon and lists forward Paul Millsap as “questionable” due to his left hip. His status will be updated prior to tonight’s tip.
The timing is bad for Atlanta who has lost three-straight and six of their last seven games. Tonight’s game is the last game of a five-game road stretch. The Hawks are back at home on Friday against the Detroit Pistons.
Mike Scott is also listed as questionable and will be active for tonight’s game but it remains to be seen whether he will play or not. The Hawks assigned rookie D’Andre Bembrey to the NBA D-League earlier today.
There is no easy way for the Hawks to replace Millsap who leads the team in scoring at 16.1 per game. If Millsap can’t go, then Mike Muscala will likely replace him in the starting lineup.
UPDATE
The Hawks have ruled out Paul Millsap for tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns due to a hip injury. Mike Muscala will start in place of Millsap at power forward.
