Kyle Korver will sit out tonight’s game in Indiana according to the Atlanta Hawks updated injury report. Korver is not with the team and will rest on the second night of the back-to-back. The rest of the injury report is unchanged with Mike Scott and Tiago Splitter both listed as out.
Tonight will be the second game that Korver has missed this season. Mike Budenholzer and his staff have historically been cautious with their players’ workloads so this announcement doesn’t come as a big surprise. Korver scored 14 points and knocked down 4 of 5 three-point attempts in Tuesday’s blowout loss to the Pelicans. He was the only Atlanta starter to play in the fourth quarter so it appears that this could have been the plan all along.
Korver is expected to rejoin the team in Salt Lake City in time for Friday’s game against the Jazz. Thabo Sefolosha will likely replace Korver in the team’s starting lineup.
Korver is averaging 9.9 points per game and is shooting 44 percent from three-point range so far this season.
