The Atlanta Hawks issued an updated injury report in advance of Friday's game with the Charlotte Hornets.
Dwight Howard (left quad contusion) and Thabo Sefolosha (mild left knee sprain) are both listed as questionable. Tiago Splitter (hamstring) and Mike Scott (left knee) are remain out.
Howard left Tuesday's win in Miami midway through the third quarter with the quad injury and did not return. He was listed as a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee before being ruled out shortly before tip off.
Sefolosha also played in Tuesday's game in Miami but was ruled out on Wednesday with what was called a "mild left knee strain."
Mike Muscala started in place of Howard against the Bucks and finished with 16 points and five rebounds in 33 minutes. Kris Humphries saw the bulk of playing time as Muscala's back up. Ryan Kelly was also pressed into action. Rookie Taurean Prince stepped into Sefolosha's spot in the rotation and performed well finishing with eight points, five rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes off the bench.
On his weekly radio show, Mike Budenholzer said that he didn’t think Howard’s injury was significant and didn’t think it would keep him out long. Budenholzer added that Sefolosha’s injury might require a few extra days.
